Pastor Darlyne "Dar" Rath
Our Pastor
Dar and her husband, Merle, first moved from Burlington to Southampton approximately 17 years ago and attended Faith Lutheran Church. Dar then went back to university to become a minister and returned to Faith to do a couple of worship courses. She was ordained in Waterloo and then installed at St. James in Williamsford, where she was for 7 years. During these 7 years, Dar also took on the position of interim pastor at Faith Lutheran Church for about 6 months in 2018.
Pastor Dar is bringing with her a wealth of experience and community care. “I’ve been back and forth and in and out and around here quite a bit doing ministry,” said Rath, “and it’s a real honour to now be here as the church Pastor.” In the community, Pastor Dar Rath also provides ministerial services at the Southampton Hospital as part of the Grey Bruce Spiritual Care Council.
